On average, 20 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.73 per share. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Total Revenues grew to $21.78 billion from $20.45 billion in the prior year quarter. Nine analysts estimated revenues of $21.66 billion.
The company confirmed its outlook for 2010 earnings in the range of $2.90 to $3.10 per share and cash flows from operations in the range of $4.0 billion to $4.4 billion.
Analysts expect the company to earn $3.06 per share.
