Jamie Foxx is the latest celeb being tossed around as a possible judge on American Idol.

The actor/singer is reportedly interested in the position, which will be vacated by Simon Cowell's departure at the end of the season. Interscope Records co-founder Jimmy Iovine is also a contender for the position, along with Madonna, according to Life & Style.

Foxx made an appearance on the talent show last season, mentoring the finalists during Rat Pack week. He also gave a performance of his single "Blame It."

Cowell previously announced he is leaving American Idol to launch the U.S. version of his hit show, The X Factor.

Along with Cowell, the current judges are Randy Jackson, Kara DioGuardi and Ellen DeGeneres. Paula Abdul left after the 2009 season.
