McKesson Corp. (MCK) reported net income of $326 million or $1.19 per share for the third quarter, compared to a loss of $20 million or $0.07 per share in the prior year quarter.
Excluding litigation charge, net income was $291 million or $1.05 per share for the third quarter of 2008.
Revenues for the third quarter increased 4% to $28.3 billion from $27.1 billion a year ago.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $1.19 share on revenue of $27.67 billion for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
