Caterpillar Inc. (CAT) reported fourth quarter EPS of $0.41 Wednesday morning, compared to the consensus estimate of $0.28. Revenues fell to $7.898 billion from $12.923 billion reported last year. The company expects to report full year 2010 EPS of $2.50, which is below the consensus estimate of $2.71.
Caterpillar Inc. gapped down Wednesday and has been losing ground for the bulk of early trade. Shares are now down 4.52 at $51.33 on above average volume. The stock has been declining for the past 2 weeks and has dropped to a 3 1/2 month low.
