VITAS Innovative Hospice Care, a unit of VITAS Healthcare, a wholly owned subsidiary of Chemed Corp. (CHE) revealed an agreement with American CareSource that would provide their members access to comprehensive hospice services in every market in which VITAS operates. The company said that Ancillary Care Services members would have access to the full range of hospice services through VITAS. Hospice coverage for members would include all prescription drugs, over-the-counter medications, medical equipment and supplies required to treat the patient's life-limiting illness. Te company noted that all four levels of hospice care - routine home care, Intensive Comfort CareSM, General Inpatient Care and Respite Care, would be covered for Ancillary Care Services members.
