KLA-Tencor Turns To Profit In Q2 - Quick Facts

KLA-Tencor Corp. (KLAC) reported net income for the second quarter of $22 million or $0.13 per share, compared to a loss of $434 million or $2.57 per share in the year-ago quarter.

Non-GAAP net income for the quarter was $49 million or $0.28 per share, compared to a non-GAAP net loss of $20 million or $0.12 per share in the same quarter last year.

Revenues for the quarter increased to $440 million from $397 million in the prior-year quarter.

On average, analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.27 per share, on revenues of $437.88 million for the quarter. Analysts estimates typically exclude special items.
