Air Products (APD) announced Friday morning that it made an offer to acquire Airgas Inc. (ARG) for $60.00 per share in cash.Airgas Inc. gapped open sharply higher Friday, but traded in a range for the majority of the session. Shares finished up by $17.43 at $60.96 on the highest volume of the year. Airgas jumped to a new high for the year.
