St. Louis rapper Nelly was reportedly punched in the face after getting involved in an altercation between his body guards and the bouncers at a Miami nightclub prior to a show last Friday.
The "Hot in Here" rapper was scheduled to give a VIP performance at Miami's Liv nightclub for a special Super Bowl pre-party.
A source revealed to the New York Post's Page Six that the rapper's "security appeared to get into an argument with the hotel's security staff. Nelly got in the middle and got punched by mistake."
"Then it spilled out of the back door and continued outside," the source continued.
There is no word yet whether charges were filed or if Nelly stayed to perform as scheduled.
