Diodes Q4 Profit Rises - Quick Facts

Diodes Inc. (DIOD) announced that its fourth-quarter GAAP net income attributable to common stockholders was $14.2 million, or $0.32 per share, compared to net income of $8.7 million or $0.21 per share in the year ago quarter.

Non-GAAP adjusted net income was $16.3 million or $0.36 per share, compared to adjusted net income of $4.7 million, or $0.11 per share, in the fourth quarter of 2008.

Revenue was $130.3 million, an increase of 50% over the $87.1 million in the fourth quarter of 2008.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.29 per share on revenues of $129 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company expects revenue for the first quarter of 2010 to range between $131 million and $137 million, up 0.5 to 5.1 percent sequentially. Analysts expect the company to report revenues of $125.48 million for the first-quarter.
