Gallaghers Skipping BRIT Award To Avoid Each Other?

Brothers and former Oasis bandmates Liam and Noel Gallagher will both skip the upcoming BRIT Awards to avoid seeing each other, says a mutual friend.

In a recent interview with the U.K.'s Mirror, the unnamed insider explained that the brothers have not spoken since the band split and that neither will confirm an appearance at the award ceremony, which takes place next week in London. According to the source, both brothers are waiting for an apology.

"Everyday the BRITs are on the phone checking to see if they are coming, but there is still no answer from either of them," the source said. "It's as if one is waiting for the other to crack and apologize. Liam's thinking he'll leave it until the last minute and will decide if he's going on the day itself."

The mutual friend continued on to explain that the brothers have been out of touch for so long that they no longer know how to reach one another.

"Liam and Noel have still not spoken since they split," the friend added. "Things are so bad that Noel is moving into a new house at the moment and is so off radar, Liam doesn't even know the address."

The former band's debut album, Definitely Maybe, is nominated for Best Album of the Last 30 Years at the ceremony.
