Interoil Corp. (IOC) reported fiscal 2009 net income of US$6.08 million or US$0.15 per share, compared to a loss of US$11.8 million or US$0.35 per share last year.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of US$0.77 per share for the year. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Revenues for the year were US$693.06 million, down from US$919.73 million in the prior year. Three analysts had consensus revenue estimate of US$708.46 million for fiscal 2009.
