The British currency extended its previous session's uptrend against euro and the Swiss franc in New York morning trading on Monday. At 10:25 am ET, the pound climbed to new multi-week highs of 0.8603 against the euro and 1.6668 versus the franc, compared to yesterday's closing values of 0.8608 and 1.6494, respectively. As of now, the sterling is worth 1.6648 against the franc and 0.8610 versus the euro.
