Dollar Tree Inc. (DLTR), in its Annual Meeting of Shareholders held at The Westin Virginia Beach Town Center, in Virginia Beach, Virginia, on Thursday, June 17, 2010, announced that the shareholders elected Conrad Hall, who had been priorly appointed by the board, to serve on the board. Shareholders also re-elected Ray Compton, Lemuel Lewis, and Bob Sasser, to serve on the board.
Moreover, shareholders approved an amendment to the company's Articles of Incorporation eliminating the classification of its board, and an amendment to the company's Articles of Incorporation increasing the number of common shares authorized to be issued.
Additionally, the company announced that Richard Lesser was retiring from the board. Lesser had served as a director on the company's board since 1999. With Lesser's retirement, the board currently consists of 11 directors.
