ScanSource Inc. (SCSC) announced after the bell Thursday that it now expects to report fourth quarter sales of $573 million to $583 million. Prior expectations had been for sales of $530 million to $550 million. ScanSource Inc. gapped open sharply higher Friday, but moved in a narrow range throughout the session. The stock closed up by $1.39 at $26.49 on above average volume. ScanSource rose to its highest level since late May and re-crossed its 50-day moving average.
