The Estonian economy grew 1.9% between April and June compared to the previous three months, Statistics Estonia said on Wednesday.

This was slightly lower than the 2% growth estimated earlier. In the March quarter, GDP had risen 1.1%.

The statistical office said growth was driven by external demand, with domestic conditions still remaining relatively subdued. On the production side, growth was mainly fueled by manufacturing.

On a year-over-year basis, Estonia's GDP grew 3.1%, the first positive annual growth since the last quarter of 2007.
