Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz is taking on a new project of judging unsigned bands, according to NME.

The bassist will spend his time being a battle of the bands judge while not working on his side project band, the Black Cards. Fall Out Boy is currently taking a break.

"We will not continue to do Fall Out Boy until we feel a drive to be creative again," said Wentz during an interview at the 2009 Leeds Festival. "There's no drive to be creative right now, so there has to be something there."

The bands he will be judging will compete against each other for the opportunity to play the Hard Rock Calling festival, which will feature a headlining performance by Bon Jovi. It will take place in London's Hyde Park from June 24-26.

Starsailor's James Walsh will be another judge on the panel with Wentz.
