The Taiwan stock market on Thursday ended the two-day losing streak in which it had dropped almost 1,150 points or 2.5 percent. The Taiwan Stock Exchange now sits just above the 44,930-point plateau although it's likely to see move lower again on Friday.
The global forecast for the Asian markets is weak thanks to surging oil prices and continued unrest in the Middle East. The European and U.S. markets were down and the Asian bourses are likely to follow suit.
