NHPC To Raise Head Count By 100 Via Campus Recruitment

Tuesday, the media reported that the state-run hydropower utility firm NHPC decided to add over 100 people in the current financial year through campus recruitment.

NHPC Chairman and Managing S K Garg reportedly said that NHPC lost nearly 400 people to various private companies and is hiring a few on ad hoc basis. The public sector is fighting with high attrition, which is prevailing across sectors. He also said that it the company would recruit people through campus selections and also some on ad hoc basis.

NHPC previously known as National Hydroelectric Power Corporation is also setting up a college in Twang, Arunachal Pradesh. Meanwhile, the company plans to impart industrial training to chartered accountancy students, added the report.
