Monday, Verizon Wireless, a joint venture of Verizon Communications (VZ) and Vodafone (VOD,VOD.L) said it appointed Luis Cruz as president of its Southern California Region, which extends from Ventura County in the north to Riverside County in the east and San Diego County in the south.
In this position Cruz is responsible for the strategic direction, sales and overall operations for Verizon Wireless in southern California. Cruz, a 20-year leader in the wireless industry, was previously president of Central Texas Region for Verizon Wireless, since 2004.
