Tamil Nadu Newsprint & Papers announced that the net profit for the year ended March 31, 2009 slipped to Rs.107.38 crore from Rs.112.83 crore in the previous year. Total income increased to Rs.1100.30 crore from Rs.969.66 crore in the year ago.
The company's net profit for the quarter ended March 31, 2009 fell to Rs.21.23 crore from Rs.27.38 crore in the previous year. Total income grew to Rs.300.13 crore from Rs.261.76 crore in the year ago.
The company recommended dividend of 45% or Rs.4.50 per share for the financial year 2008-09.
