Wednesday, solar company Spire Corp. (SPIR) announced entering into an agreement with UNICOR - Federal Prison Industries, Inc. to expand their current 25 megawatt module manufacturing capacity by the addition of a 50MW module manufacturing line to be located in Sheridan, Oregon.
Spire's module manufacturing creates nearly 500 jobs, providing marketable job skills for 300 inmates, a release said.
