Fresh off of a big night at the Grammy Awards, Adele has revealed she is heading back into the studio later this month. In a new post to her official website, the soul giant revealed she will start recording some new tracks shortly after the upcoming BRIT Awards.
The comments come on the heels of what the singer's reps are calling "an off hand comment" to Vogue about possibly taking five years off:
"I've a few days off now, and then it's the Brit Awards here at home and then I'm straight into the studio. BOYYAHH! 5 years? More like 5 days!," she writes in the blog post.
Adele returned to the stage at the Grammys for the first time since having throat surgery last year, but her manger Jonathan Dickens says she's not rushing into any tours:
"While she's fully recovered, like any injury you need to build your strength back up," Dickens told Billboard. "I'm gonna let her enjoy this moment and not drive her mad. We'll sit down and work out what we're doing going forward. It's a long-term thing."
