Target Pulls Whitney Houston Greeting Card

Target has pulled a greeting card from their shelves that made a disparaging joke about Whitney Houston and her taste in men.

The discount retailer announced yesterday that the card, which read "Next time you think of dating the bad boy, consider Whitney Houston," was sold in its stores prior to Houston's death, but they began the process of removing it from their nationwide stock shortly after it was flagged as inappropriate and insensitive.

"It is never our intent to offend guests with the products we offer, and we take feedback from guests very seriously," a representative for Target said in a statement.

Houston had a tumultuous marriage to fellow singer Bobby Brown, which ended in divorce in 2007. They had a daughter, Bobbi Kristina.
