FactSet Research Systems (FDS) reported second quarter adjusted EPS of $1.14 Tuesday morning, compared to $0.98 in the previous year. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $1.00. Third quarter adjusted EPS is expected to be between $1.14 and $1.16, compared to the consensus estimate of $1.02.
FactSet Research Systems rose sharply until mid-morning Tuesday and closed up by 7.85 at $98.66 on the highest volume of the year. The stock climbed to a 4-month high and re-crossed its 200-day moving average.
