The assessment of Japan's current economic conditions deteriorated in April, Eco Watchers' survey results showed Thursday.
The current conditions index fell to 50.9 from 51.8 in March. April's fall was the first decline in three months.
The outlook index also came in at 50.9, but up from 49.7 a month ago. The index reflects the assessment of future economic situation in Japan.
