Spain's Producer Price Inflation Eases In June

Spain's producer price inflation slowed to 2.5 percent annually in June from 3.2 percent in May, the statistical office INE said Tuesday.

Month-on-month, producer prices were down 0.5 percent after easing 0.2 percent in the prior month. Economists had forecast only 0.1 percent drop for June.

The annual increase in consumer goods prices remained at 1.6 percent and the annual growth in durable consumer goods slowed to 1.1 percent.

Capital goods inflation and intermediate goods inflation fell to 0.9 percent and 0.7 percent, respectively. Energy prices climbed at a slower pace of 6.9 percent.
