Faith Hill has announced that the second single from her yet-to-be-titled seventh studio album, "American Heart," is set to hit airwaves on October 1. The track follows the lead single "Come Home."
"It beats like a drum down in New Orleans / Sings like a Motown melody / It dreams like California / Bigger than a Texas sky / It bleeds, it scorns, but it shines when times get hard / You can't break an American heart," Hill sings on the track's chorus.
According to the songstress, her first album of original material in over six years will bridge her musical roots, gospel soul, with her country inclinations:
"I came from the church; I'm a soul singer. I've tried for so many years to mesh the two worlds together. My love of country music has been my backbone; I was raised with country music," Hill told TheBoot.com.
