Cymer Inc. (CYMI: Quote) reported that its third-quarter net income totaled $9.8 million or $0.31 per share, compared to net income of $11.3 million or $0.36 per share in the third quarter of 2011.

Revenue for the quarter totaled $131.5 million compared to revenue of $128.7 million in the third quarter of 2011.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.07 per share on revenues of $148.65 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
