Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney has canceled his campaign events for Tuesday and will instead attend a "storm relief" event, the former Massachusetts Governor's campaign said.

The campaign said Romney will attend the event in Kettering, Ohio, where he will be joined by race car driver Richard Petty and country music artist Randy Owen and help collect donations for storm relief efforts.

Romney had previously been scheduled to hold a campaign rally at the same location along with Petty, Owen, and Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz.

Meanwhile, the campaign said Romney's running mate Paul Ryan will visit campaign offices in La Crosse and Hudson, Wisconsin, where he will thank volunteers who are delivering or collecting items for storm relief efforts

Mitt Romney's wife Ann will also attend events in Wisconsin before traveling to Iowa, where she will also participate in storm relief collection efforts. She will then attend a campaign rally in Des Moines, Iowa, the campaign said.

While President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden have canceled upcoming campaign events, prominent Obama surrogate President Bill Clinton will attend grassroots events in Minnesota and Colorado.

The Obama campaign said Clinton will attend events in Minneapolis and Duluth, Minnesota, before heading on to events in Commerce City and Denver, Colorado.
