At 3.55 am ET Thursday, Germany's unemployment figures are due. The number of unemployed is expected to increase by 16,000 in November after rising 20,000 in October. Ahead of the data, the euro stabilised against the franc but climbed against the rest of major currencies.
As of 3:50 am ET, the euro was quoted at 1.2976 against the greenback, 106.65 against the yen, 0.8103 against the pound and 1.2041 against the franc.
