Yen Slides Against Majors

The Japanese yen retreated from early highs and fell back against other major currencies on Friday in Europe.

The yen hit new multi-month lows of 86.75 against the aussie, 68.97 against the NZ dollar and 83.85 against the loonie, compared to early highs of 86.12, 68.39 and a 2-day high of 82.87, respectively.

Against the pound, franc and the euro, the yen is worth 132.64, 88.47 and 106.89, reversing from previous multi-day highs of 131.73, 87.85 and 106.14, respectively.

The yen pulled back from a 2-day high of 82.19 against the greenback and fell to fresh 2-week low of 82.83.
