The Indian rupee declined against the U.S. dollar in later deals on Wednesday.
The rupee is worth 53.17 against the greenback, declining from early multi-month high of 52.895. The greenback-rupee pair closed yesterday's deals at 53.13. If the rupee extends slide, it may break 54.00 level.
