Wal-Mart Stores (WMT) gapped open lower Friday and dropped further around the middle of the afternoon. Media reports in the afternoon stated that the retailer had the worst sales start to any month in seven years in February.
Wal-Mart Stores closed lower by 1.52 at $69.30, with volume at a 9-month high. The stock fell to a 2-week low and dropped below both its 50 and 200-day moving averages.
