The Rolling Stones took home two awards at the annual NME Music Awards last week as the legendary rockers took home the Best Live Band honor as well as the honor for Best Music Film.
The first award was given for the band's recent 50th anniversary tour, which included a few dates in the U.K. and the U.S., while the second award came for their career-spanning documentary, Crossfire Hurricane.
"Mick, Keith and Charlie were too nervous to come out from backstage so I stepped up," said guitarist Ron Wood, who was the only Stone to show. "About time I think and thanks very much, this is a good award show this."
Wood also stuck around for a performance on the evening, with the Smiths former guitarist Johnny Marr. The pair performed the latter band's classic, "How Soon Is Now."
