Macau's unemployment rate held steady in the three months to June from the previous three months, the statistical office said.
The unemployment rate was 1.8 percent in the April-June period, unchanged from the March-May quarter. The number of unemployed increased to 6,500 in April-June from 6400 in the previous three months.
During the second quarter, the unemployment rate declined to 1.8 percent from 1.9 percent in the first quarter. The labor force participation rate grew to 72.4 percent from 71.9 percent in the three months to March.
