Both Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera have confirmed plans to return to the coaches' panel for the upcoming season of The Voice. The new season will reunite the original coaching cast, which also features Adam Levine and Blake Shelton.
The pair both praised Shakira and Usher, who stepped in to cover for them during the fourth season:
"I needed a moment to step away," Aguilera said, according to The Hollywood Reporter. "Thank God for Shakira. She did a beautiful job."
Green also spoke on seeing Usher in his chair: "It was awkward and intriguing at the same time. It was a bit of an out-of-body experience."
Finally, Levine apologized for his controversial quip about "hating country music" on the show:
"Everyone makes mistakes. If your intentions are good and someone misunderstands you, regardless of what the scenario is, I think people can see through stupid media hype. No offense," he said at a press conference.
