Albert Hammond Jr. has revealed that he hopes the Strokes tour soon.

The band's guitarist made the comment on Twitter, responding to a fan who requested that the Strokes tour more often than once every four years. Hammond replied: "U think I dont wanna tour/that's all I want."

He recently told NME that he thought it would be good for the Strokes to tour with the Arctic Monkeys, and that he contacted Alex Turner and Matt Helders of the band to discuss possibilities:

"I just feel like it would be a good bill, that's all. I just tried to be honest about how much I think it would be a cool thing, you know, it would be interesting for fans."

The Strokes played their first festival show since 2011 on Saturday night at the Governor's Ball on Randall's Island in New York, where they joined a line up including Chance The Rapper, Disclosure, Skrillex, Spoon, and Jack White.
