Sears Holdings Corp. (SHLD) announced in a regulatory filing after the close Monday that it borrowed a $400 million secured short-term loan from its Chief Executive Officer and Chairman Edward Lampert's hedge fund ESL Investments Inc.
Sears dropped sharply during the first 30 minutes of trade Monday and slipped further in the early portion of the afternoon. The stock closed down by 3.15 at $30.37 on above average volume. Sears sank beneath support and set a new low for the year.
