Rostam Batmanglij of Vampire Weekend and Simon Le Bon of Duran Duran hooked up with rising star Charlie XCX for "Kingdom," a cut from the upcoming Hunger Games soundtrack.

According to Consequence of Sound, the tune gives fans another look at XCX.

"Though known for her bright and energetic performances, Kingdom' displays the more docile side of the UK pop princess. Her hushed, gentle croon is especially crisp over the slightly menacing groove of crunchy synths and heavy drums, creating a really impactful sense of emotional dichotomy."

According to Charlie, working with Le Bon was a thrill.

"It was definitely exciting to be working with someone who's iconic and from a different time than me, though."

Charlie XCX's upcoming album, Sucker, is due January 24, 2015.
