Eurozone house prices increased for the second straight quarter in the three months to September 2014, preliminary figures from Eurostat showed Wednesday.
House prices rose 0.6 percent quarter-on-quarter, slower than a 0.9 percent increase in the previous three months.
On an annual basis, house prices climbed 0.5 percent in the three months ended in September, after remaining unchanged in the second quarter.
House prices in the EU grew 1.1 percent in the third quarter from the previous three months and rose 2.3 percent from the corresponding period of the previous year.
Among the member states, the biggest annual increases in house prices were registered in Ireland, Estonia, Latvia, Sweden and the United Kingdom. while the largest falls were reported in Slovenia, Italy and Romania.
