Eve And Jill Scott Weigh In On Iggy Azalea's 'Black-ccent'

Eve and Jill Scott have both offered their opinions of Iggy Azalea's adopted African American-style accent. The pair tagged in together on a recent interview during the Sway in the Morning radio show and, while neither were complimentary, they both cut Azalea some slack.

"At the end of the day I get it. I get that people might be upset about certain things, yeah she's white but they grew up with our s—. Hip-hop is everywhere — every neighborhood, every country, every city. Yes, it's from us and it's our thing but she's representing a group of girls right now as well," Eve said.

Jill noted that she takes greater issue with the seemingly premature praise Azalea has gotten as a player in the rap game.

"That's the one thing I just can't stand. Let her do her thing. It's not my cup of tea but she's representing for somebody," she said.

"She's doing her thing. What are you gonna do?"
