Iconix Brand Group Inc. (ICON) reported that its GAAP net income attributable to Iconix for the fourth quarter of 2014 was approximately $23.9 million, a 9% decrease as compared to $26.1 million in the prior year quarter, and GAAP earnings per share for the fourth quarter of 2014 was $0.44, as compared to $0.44 in the prior year quarter.
On a non-GAAP basis, net income attributable to Iconix was $28.3 million, a 6% decrease as compared to the prior year quarter of approximately $30.2 million. Non-GAAP earnings per share for the fourth quarter increased 4% to $0.56 from $0.54 in the prior year quarter.
Total revenue for the fourth quarter of 2014 was approximately $112.4 million, a 7% increase as compared to approximately $105.3 million in the fourth quarter of 2013. Licensing revenue increased 16% to approximately $102.2 million as compared to approximately $88.3 million in the prior year quarter.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.55 per share and revenues of $111.13 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
The company raised its 2015 non-GAAP earnings per share guidance to a range of $3.00-$3.15 from the prior estimate of $2.90-$3.10 per share. It also increased its 2015 GAAP earnings per share guidance to a range of $3.06-$3.20 from the prior outlook of $2.82-$3.00 per share.
The company raised its 2015 revenue guidance to $490 million - $510 million from the previous estimate of $485 million - $500 million.
Wall Street currently is looking for fiscal year 2015 earnings of $3.06 per share on annual revenues of $498.17 million.
