Fiat Chrysler Automobiles N.V. (FCAU) said it plans to offer $3 billion in aggregate principal amount of unsecured senior debt securities in one or more series, subject to market conditions.
The notes are intended to rank pari passu with respect to all of the company's existing and future unsubordinated debt and senior to any of its indebtedness which is by its terms subordinated to the notes.
The company intends to use the net proceeds from the offering for general corporate purposes, which may include funding the redemption of, or otherwise refinancing, outstanding secured senior notes of its subsidiary FCA US LLC, formerly Chrysler Group LLC.
