New Zealand's net migration increased in November from a year ago, marking its sixteenth successive month of new highs, figures from Statistics New Zealand showed Monday.
Permanent arrivals registered an annual net gain of 63,700 in November, as more people arrived from than departed for Australia.
Net migration has been regularly breaking records since August 2014, when it surpassed the previous highest-ever net gain of 4,700 in February 2003, the agency said.
Overseas trips made by New Zealand residents grew 3.0 percent to 182,400 in November. Visitor arrivals to the country numbered 300,500, up 11 percent from November 2014.
Arrivals were distended by growing numbers of tourists from China, Australia and the United States.
