Keith Urban has signed on to appear at the upcoming tribute to the Bee Gees following the Grammy Awards. The event, titled "Stayin' Alive: A Grammy Salute to the Music of the Bee Gees," will take place on February 14. Urban will be joined at the event by Little Big Town, Celine Dion, John Legend, Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas among others.
"The Bee Gees — Barry, Robin and Maurice — were international musical icons who helped make Saturday Night Fever an emblem of 1970s pop culture," says Recording Academy President Neil Portnow. "With expert harmonies, undeniable groove and a personal charisma matching their onstage persona, the iconic band of brothers defined not just a genre, but a generation."
"Stayin' Alive: A Grammy Salute to the Music" of the Bee Gees will be filmed live at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles and will be aired at a later date on CBS. The Grammys will take place on February 12 and will air at 8PM ET on CBS with the pre-telecast Premiere Ceremony will begin at 3:30PM ET.
