Barclays Removed As Sponsor For Neil Young's Hyde Park Show

Neil Young says his co-headlining Hyde Park show next summer will go ahead without Barclays' sponsorship.

The Canadian singer-songwriter will be returning to London on July 12 for a huge co-headlining show with Bob Dylan.

The star had expressed his dismay over the BST festival choosing a "fossil fuel funding entity" as a sponsor.

"That doesn't work for me. I believe in science. I worry about the climate crisis and am deeply concerned about its massive global ramifications," he said on his website. The post was deleted later.

And on Tuesday, Young said, "NYA is happy to announce that the Hyde park show will proceed without Barclays as a sponsor."

"We are overjoyed, so happy to be playing the show," he added.
