NeoPhotonics, a provider of photonic integrated circuit-based modules, components and subsystems, Monday announced the appointment of J. D. Fay as Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately.
The company said that Fay will be responsible for global finance, investor relations, information technology and legal matters for the company. He has served as the company's interim Chief Financial Officer since January 2009.
Fay joined NeoPhotonics in May 2007 as the company's Vice President of Legal Affairs and General Counsel. Before joining NeoPhotonics, Fay was Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs and General Counsel for @Road, a provider of mobile resource management solutions. In these roles, he was responsible for acquisitions, public company compliance, legal and government business development, NeoPhotonics noted.
The company also said that Fay represented @Road in all major company transactions, including an IPO, secondary stock offering and private financings totaling over $230 million. He was also involved in the sale of @Road to Trimble Navigation (TRMB) for $500 million in 2007.
Prior to @Road, Fay practiced corporate and securities law for the Venture Law Group.
TRMB is trading at $20.92, up $0.22, on a volume of 15,391 shares.
