Monday, Statistics Norway announced that turnover in the construction industry amounted to NOK 129.52 billion in the January to June period., down 11.8% from NOK 146.85 billion a year ago.
For the same period, turnover in the construction of buildings group recorded the largest decrease, by 16.5% from the previous year. Further, turnover in civil engineering declined 10.1%, and turnover in the specialized construction activities group was down 8.1%.
For the May to June period, turnover in the construction industry was down 13.3% from the preceding year.
