An index measuring business conditions in Australia was up 7 points in April, the National Australia Bank said on Monday, posting a score of -10. That's up from -17 in March and -22 in February.
Business confidence eased a point, from -13 to -14, while export sales jumped 26 points to -4 and forward orders climbed 7 points to -11.
The employment index also gained, up 11 points to -18, while the sales index added 7 points to -3 and the profitability index was up 2 points to -10.
