JoJo Preps New Release

After a nearly two-year break from the spotlight, JoJo is preparing to release a new album. In a recent interview with Rap-up.com, the singer confirms that she will be joined in the studio by producers Timbaland and Pharrell.

JoJo also said that she is making final arrangements with her record label, Blackground Records. After being tied up in legal issues for nearly a year, JoJo said in October that the album will also get a major push from distribution through Interscope Records.

"I wanted to do something that people would be like, 'Wow, this girl has come a long way and she's really taking the reins,'" she tells Rap-Up TV of her new music. "I wanted people to get a sense of who I am."

Though JoJo hasn't released a new album since 2006, she has kept her name fresh on the R&B scene with an appearance on Timbaland's latest release Shock Value II.
